When you use Upliven, we collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, profile information, and payment details. We also collect usage data to improve our services.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Process transactions and send related information
- Connect you with coaches or clients
- Send you technical notices and support messages
- Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only with your consent, with coaches/clients for session purposes, with service providers who assist our operations, or when required by law.
4. Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. All payment processing is handled by PCI-DSS compliant processors (Stripe and Razorpay).
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.
6. Session Recordings
All coaching sessions are automatically recorded. Recording cannot be disabled. Session recordings are used exclusively for dispute resolution and quality assurance. They are never used for marketing purposes and are never shared with third parties except as required by law or to resolve a formal dispute.
What is recorded:
- Video and audio of both participants during the session
- Session start and end timestamps
Retention and deletion schedule:
- Days 0–90: Recording is in active storage, accessible to authorised administrators for dispute investigation.
- Days 90–120: Recording is archived. Access is restricted.
- Day 120+: Recording is permanently and irrecoverably deleted, unless an open dispute holds it longer.
- Dispute hold: If a dispute is open or under review, the recording is retained until the dispute is resolved plus 30 additional days.
Recordings are stored in encrypted regional cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) and routed to the appropriate geographic region based on the coach's location:
- EU/EEA and UK coaches: Recordings stored in EU infrastructure to comply with GDPR (Art. 44–49) and UK GDPR.
- India coaches: Recordings stored in APAC infrastructure.
- All other coaches: Recordings stored in US infrastructure.
Access is restricted to authorised Upliven administrators. Recording infrastructure is provided by LiveKit.
You may request information about a recording associated with your session by contacting privacy@upliven.app. Note that recordings cannot be viewed by users directly — they are used only by administrators during dispute investigations.
7. Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies necessary for functionality. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
